Description: This superb set of six (6) ruby-color rimmed Tiffin star-center glass salad (or dessert) plates is known as the Kings Crown or Thumbprint pattern. During production, the star and thumbprint decorations are pressed into the glass. A coloring process known as “flashing glass” creates the lush ruby color on the rims. The color is only on the top of the glass. The elongated thumbprints pressed into the glass, the fifteen (15) point star at the center and the three (3) mold marks (lines) on the plates are the hallmarks of Tiffin Glass. DETAILS: Condition: Used and in excellent vintage condition: no chips or utensil wear. The six (6) plates in the set have the same rich ruby rim color. I have included one (1) additional plate-purchased at a garage sale and the ruby color on the rim of this plate is lighter. I have used it as an extra. You will receive 7 plates.
