Description: This auction is for True Sport Picture Stories Vol. 4 No. 9 from Street and Smith Publications, Inc. from September-October 1948. This features a Bob Powell cover. Interior stories feature Bill McCahan, the 1896 US Olympic team, how to play Lacrosse, how to play second and third base and shortstop, and others. Interior art by Floyd Torbert, Clem Boddington, and Tom Doerer. (All info per the GCD.) I grade this book as Very Good. Small piece missing on bottom right hand front cover. Spine shows some creases and dings. Other creases along front cover. Other defects associated with grade. Interior pages are slightly tanning and supple. Cover and centerfold firmly attached. Cover has nice color and gloss. Overstreet lists Very Good at $36.00. My starting bid should make this an affordable copy to add to your collection. I have been selling on ebay for over twenty years and have always maintained 100% feedback. The book depicted in the scan is the one you will receive. I will ship either first class or media whichever is cheaper. Other shipping can be arranged but buyer will have to pay the difference. Foreign orders are OK with sufficient positive feedback.
