Description: Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra ‎– Ballet Music From ‘The Turning Point’ (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (1977) Decent British 1st release. The drama movie about the world of ballet in New York features classical compositions performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by Lawrence Foster. The film (1977, dir. Herbert Ross) starred Shirley MacLaine and Anne Bancroft, along with Leslie Browne, Mikhail Baryshnikov, and Tom Skerritt. The film was nominated for eleven Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Condition VINYL: G-VG. Clean on visual inspection. A few scuffs, marks and hairlines across both sides but nothing major – and no deep scratches. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is good, and very good in places. Odd click/pop and static in places. Some light surface noise at run-ins and between some cues. Some tracks sound cleaner than others with less surface noise. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. OUTER SLEEVE/COVER: EX. Classic gloss front gatefold cover. A few creases in from spine and tiny dents. Corners have very mild scuffs. Edges are generally unscuffed. Spine clean and unworn. Aperture only lightly nicked with a few creases. Back of sleeve and inner gatefold have one or two creases and some crinkling but is otherwise fine. INNER SLEEVE: VG. Original. Off-white paper with curved corners.
