First edition, third printing. Hardback with a total of 61 pages. It measures approximately 10 1/4 inches in height, is about 7 1/4 inches wide, and is around 3/8 of an inch thick. Described as "Tempting to look at, delightful to eat." Recipes for meats, shellfish pickles, sushi, and more! Fabulous color photos by Ihei Misaki. This cookbook has been used - looks like quite a bit from the number of checkmarks (always a good sign). It was well cared for and is still in good vintage condition. The covers are intact with only minor scuffing and wear around the edges. The corner of inner title page has been cut (see photo) and there are two very small fade spots on inner cover (see photo). The binding is tight, and there are no torn or loose pages. The pages have small checkmarks by recipes here and there; otherwise pages are clean - no stains, tears, or holes. Home Style Japanese Cooking in Pictures - Published in 1977 by Shufunotomo Co, Ltd. First edition, third printing. Hardback with a total of 95 pages. It measures approximately 10 1/4 inches in height, is about 7 1/4 inches wide, and is around 3/8 of an inch thick. This cookbook features detailed diagrams on cutting and slicing, Japanese kitchen utensils, and Japanese tableware. Most recipes have at least one photo and illustrated instructions. The book is in good vintage condition. The outer covers are clean but have a ridge of slight age-related discoloration (from sitting on a shelf for an extended period). The binding is tight, all pages secure - none are loose. The pages of the book are super clean - no tears, printing, stains or holes. Pages are "wavy" along the base (see photo -shows up), not very noticeable and book closes nicely - probably humidity-related. See photos of both 3 books for additional details.
