Description: UKRAINE - 2017 MNH BOGOMAZOV - STROPPING THE SAWS PAINTING SHEET - F179 UKRAINE - 2017 MNH BOGOMAZOV - STROPPING THE SAWS PAINTING SHEET - F179 Click image to enlarge Description The sheet has perforation separations extending half way up the sheet between the margin and the first colum of stamps. All the sheets of this variety were received this way directly from Ukrposhta and it would appear that their operator was using too much pressure on the perforation die. I was wondering how I could help the Ukrainian war effort. Sending money to charities was a possibility, but I wanted to participate in the actual war effort. Then it dawned on me that I could sell Ukrainian Postage stamps on EBAY, purchased directly from the Ukrainian Postal Service. The funds received would go directly to the Government of Ukraine for use as they deemed most appropriate. I will maintain a separate spreadsheet for all the Ukrainian stamps I sell and assure you that all profit will go into purchasing additional stamps from the Ukrainian Postal Service. In the first few months, we have provided the Government of Ukraine with $10,074.55 for their effort. I have recently added refrigerator magnets and coffee cups to my store. The assistance of my past and future customers in helping me with this effort is greatly appreciated. Please tell your relatives, friends, and coworkers of my listings. Again, all profit on the Ukrainian stamps I sell will go straight to the Ukrainian Postal Service for use by the Government of Ukraine as they see fit. The sheet is described as follows on the Ukrposhtra web site: Ukrainian painter and graphic artist of world fame. One of the founders of cubofuturism, a leader and theoretician of the Ukrainian avant-garde. He taught at the Institute of Plastic Arts (since 1924 - Kyiv Art Institute). He was a member of ARMU (Association of Revolutionary Art of Ukraine). From 1922 to 1930, he was a professor at the Kyiv Art Institute. Bogomazov was an artist of the city. He wrote about Kyiv: "Kyiv in its plastic volume is full of beautiful, diverse, deep dynamism. Here the streets touch the sky, the forms are tense, the lines are energetic, they fall, break, sing and play. The pace of life emphasizes this dynamism even more, as if giving it a legal basis, spreading widely until it calms down on the quiet left bank of the Dnieper. Among the master's best canvases are "Tram (Lvivska Street, Kyiv)" (1914), "Train" (1914-1915), "Fitter" (1915). Oleksandr Bogomazov devoted the painting "Pravka pyl" (1927) to the topic of work relevant in the 1920s, in the artistic solution of which he relied on his own theory. Avoiding the narration of the depicted scene, the artist looks for regularities in the ratio of locally colored color spots on the plane, solving color problems. Bogomazov, according to his own words, using the harmony of lines and spots embodied a pictorial thought.
