Description: Jack Dempsey autographed boxing glove. PSA / DNA certified. Very rare. This is a child’s 7 1/2”boxing glove (a kid named Jackie) signed by the Manassa Mauler. There is an antique photo / label dated 1927 from the infamous Long Count Fight that will come with the glove. The label appears to be a rough cut handout of some sort. Inscribed “To Jackie from your pal Jack Dempsey” Rarity to find a Boxing glove signed by Jack Dempsey. The very old photograph included that has an old antique label describing what is happening in the photo. The fight was infamous due to the fact that Jack Dempsey was trying to make a comeback and defeat the champion but due to a technicality after Dempsey knocked down Tunney, the fight resumed. This has been a topic of debate for years in the boxing community. I have no proof that the glove was signed at this event, although it would make sense with the aging. The picture under black light is the “A” DNA daub that PSA does, which presumably stands for for “Authentic” and can only be seen under black light. It should be noted that although the glove appears crusty from age, it is still soft and could even be refurbished. Glass display case not included due to shipping risk. It is available at Hobby Lobby and really completes the look.
