Description: Ultra Rare Kershaw Commemorative Sword Tizona El Cid 18k Gold Plated You aren't likely to find another one of these around. Part of Kershaw's extremely limited run of commemorative swords, this is the Tizona of El Cid. Kershaw enlisted the legendary craftsmen of Toledo, Spain, to recreate this hostorical sword in as accurate proportions and details as possible. The handle is plated in 18k Gold, and the blade is engraved and filled in, with 18k Gold on both sides. The Kershaw Commemorative Swords were all manufactured to the highest standards; using high-carbon molybdenum stainless steel for the blades. Each blade is cut, shaped, and ground to perfection by hand before it is polished to have a mirror finish. This sword has some slight imperfections, like areas of very minor wear around the handle and hand guard, where you can see the base metal beneath the gold plating. I tried my best to capture these blemishes in the photos, so please look closely and see them for yourself. Considering the sword's age, the blade is still in remarkable shape. There are no major dings or scratches, and the mirror finish is still as illustrious as ever. There are some light areas of wear near the tip, but depending on the lighting, they can be rather difficult to see. The edge is still in its original, un-sharpened condition. The sword weighs about 3.4 pounds, and measures just under 39 inches in length. Please feel free to message me with any questions or comments. Thanks, and good luck!
