Description: One Ultra Rare, Men's Vintage Swiss Army GOLDEN DELTA 2 Wristwatch Mounted on Brand New Aftermarket Spotted Ostrich Supple Leather Straps w/Gold Toned Buckle. Come's From the Very Popular Classic Collection. This is an even more rare European version as evidenced by the oval shaped insignia on dial with silver wreath encircling silver cross symbol with red background. This special marking also shown on caseback. This version was never released in the US or Canada which gives the watch a little extra desirability. The Delta 2 is the second and last ever released versions of this uniquely designed model and was discontinued in the mid 90's. Several unique features found only on this model is the strategically placed, fully recessed crown at the 2 position. It will never ding into your wrist. The oval shaped date window at the 6 position. The inner beveled bezel with triangular shaped hour markers. Lastly, the fancy swivel lugs to flex with your natural wrist movement. The only difference between the two models is the 1st came out with a domed mineral crystal which was more prone to scratching and breakage while the 2nd had the flat profile crystal. Other options were a stainless steel bracelet instead of the leather strap as well as gold electroplating known as the 'Golden Delta' that came mounted on spotted ostrich leather or golden bracelet. This watch was truly designed for comfort & efficiency and ranks at the top of it's class for classic looks. This all time favorite classic timepiece was manufactured in 1994 yet remains in an overall very good shape as it was only worn on an infrequent basis during this time frame. Beautiful mineral crystal appears to be mark free. Light scuffing and small scratches to the polished gold metals with the polished caseback virtually mark free. Dial is crisp & clear. Spotted ostrich leather straps are new aftermarket which were swapped out in place of the bracelet. Please study the pic's. A true work of beauty and a rare gem as seen in the numerous HD pic's under magnification. Also seen under magnification between crown and lug hinge is stamped PLAQUE G10 which you will truly struggle to read with the naked eye. ALL genuine Golden Delta's from Swiss Army will have this add'l identification so you can know it's really REAL. Watch has always been professionally maintained & will arrive as clean as you will ever find. A fresh Energizer battery was recently installed and keeping proper time. This watch only came in two sizes back in the 90's. This is the largest size of the two and was marketed towards men but may still be considered on the small size for today's standards. The ladies version is considerably smaller. Some specifics: Watch measures just under 1 1/2" or 37mm across the case excluding fancy swivel lugs. Strap length is apx 9 1/4" or 235mm from tip to tip. Width is 18mm between the lugs. Included is the awesome classic watch only (as seen in pic's/excluding background props). NO box, bracelet or manual but watch is super EZ to operate.
