Description: (6) Umatilla County Oregon card lot: Nye RPPC 1916, Echo Canyon Irrigation litho + 3 chrome + un-ID’d Cyko RPPC Free Shipping to U.S. Up for sale is.....a lot of 6 cards showing scenes in Umatilla County, eastern Oregon (note: one of the RPPC’s is not ID’d for location….so it may not be Umatilla County.) The cards include: · RPPC with a penciled caption on back that reads “Nye Oregon / 1916”. This scarce Real Photo Postcard is un-used, with an AZO 4-up stampbox. Nye, Oregon was a small community west of Pilot Rock. It had a post office from 1887 to 1917. · Echo Canyon, litho postcard, likely 1910 (hand written date on front reads “May 24th.10”). Postmark is not legible. The scene is captioned as “Head Gates and Main Feed Canal, Western Land and Irrigation Project,Echo, Umatilla County, Oregon”. · Un-identified RPPC showing a very small community in an open area, backed by a coniferous forest. The card was acquired in eastern Oregon, but I’m unable to state its location. Card is divided-back with a CYKO stampbox. Dating it to 1907 – 1920’s. *********** · Umatilla, Oregon Main Street. Unused chrome. All autos are 1950’s. · Sands Motel, Hermiston. Unused chrome, circa early to mid-1960’s. · Umatilla Bridge & McNary Dam. The Bridge and Dam were both completed in the mid-1950’s. This card does NOT have a postcard back.
