I am a big guy and the rear brackets would slip forward when stepping up on the step causing the step to sag no matter how tight I tried to snug them down. I fixed the problem by adding a stich weld from the bracket to the truck body perch. This was the only way I could figure out how to keep the rear bracket from slipping when weight was applied to the step.
