A Sensor Gel Pad is required to make the wiper blades to go on automatically when it rains. If the vehicle windshield was replaced recently and the Sensor Gel Pad between inside the sensor housing was not replaced, or the original Sensor Gel Pad dried-up, it will require replacement with a new Sensor Gel Pad, otherwise the Rain Sensor System will not function properly, or not function at all. We recommend to check if there is an existing sensor gel pad inside the sensor housing, or checking the condition of the original rain Sensor Gel pad, before going and replacing the complete Rain Sensor housing system, which would be an expensive and costly project to begin with.
