This two-page spread has one page with a line drawing of the school seal, a listing of school Nickname (The Fighting Illini) and Colors (Orange and Blue) and several paragraphs about the school's history, all the way back to its opening on March 2, 1868. The second page is the title, song credits and opening bars and lyrics of the school's spirited song, "Illinois Loyalty." Taken directly from a college song book published in the 1970s, these are two beautiful, cream-colored pages in pristine condition. PLEASE note that you do not see the entire song, as it continues on the reverse. This is not for playing, but for framing. When framed side by side, these two pages are a lovely tribute to the University. Song credits at top: "By T.H. Guild." Each extra-large page is approx. 9" x 12".
