Description: These 2 stories in one book, lavender editions stopped being printed in the 1970s. The Twin Thriller set runs from Volume 1-54. There is no Twin Thriller #55 or 56 because they stopped printing the Twin Thriller editions before #55 & 56 were published. I have added in a flashlight copy of 55 & 56 so that you will have a complete 1-56 set of Nancy Drews. These books are definitely in above average used condition but I would not call them new. The most common grade issue is some tanning of the pages (especially at the edges (see photos) and some corner/edge wear but there are no markings inside the books so that if you told someone that you were the original owner, there would be nothing inside to contradict you (although I don't know why you would want to claim to be the original owner). If you are looking for a set in superior condition and you are tired of getting books that have been soiled, markered, remaindered, had pages removed, or otherwise abused, then this is the set for you. The books have the glossy covers which will be more resistant to soiling from juvenile sticky fingers which in turn means that they will be easier to keep in presentable condition to pass on to the next generation of young readers. These books are roughly 50 years old but this set is obviously in better than average condition with no markings. No markings means no handwriting, no library stamps or stickers, no address labels, no book plates, no remainder marks. Some may have a retail store price sticker or the residue from such a sticker, but no markings from a previous buyer. These are definitely in collector-grade condition and if you study the pictures, you will see that my grading is far more conservative than that of sellers who classify discarded copies of public library books as "like new." I strongly recommend this series because it has stood the test of time. If you can get a youngster to read one book from the series and s/he likes it, then the child will read the rest without thinking of reading as some kind of punishment for spending too much time with an electronic device. If you need something for children to do when it is raining, snowing, too hot, too cold, too dark, or when the Wifi is unavailable, here is the set for you.I have no affiliation with the Renaissance organization, but you can go to their website for reading scores, points, and quizzes for accelerated readers if you want to use these books for homeschooling. Double-boxed means the books are sent inside a box lined with bubblewrap, which is placed inside a plastic bag, which is then placed inside a slightly larger box or in a double-walled box (see photo).
