Description: Unusual sterling silver carved-shell bolo tie with turquoise and coral. It features an Indian warrior in a buffalo headdress riding a horse, carved from an orange spiny oyster shell. The bolo is 3 1/2" tall by 2 7/16" wide. The shell is 2 1/4" tall. There are two 15mm-wide turquoise stones set below the shell and an 11mm coral is set below that. Handmade leaves and scrolls add to the design. The cord is 8mm thick. There are handmade silver bands above the tips. Each bolo tip has a dangling 5/8" silver cone. The cord and tips measure 48" long. The bolo is stamped "G Sterling" in a diamond-shaped hallmark (Francisco Gomez, Spanish silversmith). The bolo is in good condition.
