Description: DATING TO THE 1850’S FASHIONED OF A BLACK AND TAN STRIPE SILK WITH THE BLACK HAVING TINY PINSTRIPES AND BEAUTIFUL RAINBOW COLORED FLORALS RUNNING THROUGHOUT. PIPED SEAMS ON THE EDGES OF THE BAND COLLAR, ATOP THE SHOULDER, AROUND THE ARM HOLE AS WELL AS THE BOTTOM. EPAULETS HAVING FLAT PIPED DETAIL WITH AN INNER SLEEVE FALLING FULL LENGTH, SLEEVE WAS POSSIBLY REMOVABLE FOR WARMER WEATHER / ALTERNATE LOOK. CENTER BOTTOM FRONT HAS HEAVY RUCHED GATHERING, CLOSURE IN THE REAR AND IS FULLY LINED ON THE INTERIOR IN COTTON TWILL. THE INTERIOR BUST HAS INNER PADDING FOR FULLNESS. CONDITION: SOLD AS FOUND, REFLECTIVE OF THE CONDITION. THE HOOK AND EYES HAVE BEEN REMOVED. THERE IS LARGE WATER STAINING ON THE FRONT RIGHT BUST WITH AN ERASER SIZED HOLE AND A PINHOLE ON THE CENTER BUST WITH SOME BLUE BLEEDING SPOTS TO THE VERY CENTER FRONT. ERASER SIZED HOLE ON THE FRONT LEFT ABOVE THE CHEST WITH A LARGE WATER STAIN ON THE RIGHT REAR TOWARDS THE ARM HOLE THAT IS HAND IN SIZE WITH AN ADDITIONAL WATER STAINING ON THE LEFT. BLUE BLEED SPOTS SEEN ON THE BOTTOM OF THE RIGHT SLEEVE WITH THREE PINHEAD HOLES ON THE LEFT. ALL OF THE HOOK AND EYES HAVE BEEN REMOVED.
