Description: On December 24, 1854, a community of Poles completed their one-way trip from Upper Silesia (an entire town) to an area selected for them by Fr. Moczygemba that today is known as Panna Maria. The Oak Tree pictured on a "37-cent" label is symbolic of the tree that this community of Poles found in 1854. The tree still stands today. The US 37-cent stamp has "Panna Maria Anniversary 1854-2004" micro-printed on the upper left edge of the stamp. This inscription makes this cover a rarity. Visit our eBay Store: RVO Collectibles
