Description: vintage cloth belt taken off a WWII era U.S. Army olive drab gabardine dress uniform jacket. Notice the belt was designed without a buckle. The non-pointed end of the belt was designed with a flap that would drape around a belt loop on the jacket and button secure closed. Then, the pointed end would thread through the belt loops across the back of the jacket it was on and come around to the front to meet the belt's other end. The pointed end would then go through the moveable belt loop and snap secure shut as there is a female metal snap on the back of the pointed end and a male metal snap on the front of the non-pointed end (about 3 and 1/2 inches from the flat end). Because there is only that 1 set of metal snaps, this belt is fitted for only one specific size. It was not made to be adjustable. Condition - used/preowned, read condition section Size - when snapped closed, it measures 38 inches around the inside. I have a 38 inch waist and tried it on over my shirt. It was too small for me. I estimate it was made to fit a man with a 34 , possibly 35 inch waist , taking into account the wearer would be wearing it around the outside of a dress uniform jacket. Height - 1 and 3/4 inches high Color - Olive Drab Brand/Maker - Unbranded but definitely vintage U.S. Army military issue Age - exact year unknown, circa WW2 era *** To Clarify - this listing is for the Cloth Belt ONLY
