Description: This is a vintage WWll US Military mess pot with a bail closure lid in spectacular shape for the age. 3 bails intact, with some patina. MARKINGS: U.S., S.M. Co, 1944 on lid SIZE: 12" diameter (to the outside edge), 4 1/2" to top edge of lid. CONDITION: outsides of pot and lid have some oxidation, but still fairly shiny and have a few tiny scratches (see photos), inside looks shiny and unused. Handle is tight and has some patina, 3 bails tight with patina. Please see photos.
