Description: This hand colored lithograph from Currier & Ives depicts the US Steam Frigate Wabash with 60 Guns Off Cape Hatteras, dated 7th January 1857. The print shows the beauty and power of the naval vessel in great detail. It is hand colored but a lot of the colors have faded. The blues shown in the waves are still lovely! It was published by Currier & Ives at their 152 Nassau St location in New York. It is framed & under glass. There is some yellowing to the print - and it has a small loss in one corner, and a couple of tears along the edges. There are a couple of repairs on it as well - I’ve tried to picture them! The frame is simple - it has some scuffs and scratches and the back panel has been reinforced with some newer nails. It is a small folio and it measures about 12.75” wide by 9.25” tall. Framed, it measures about 16” by 12” Located in the Granby shop
