Description: For sale here is an amazing US WW2 Army Air Corps AAC USAAF Army Air Forces 12th Air Force 57th Bomb Wing 321st Bomb Group Officer's British Battle Dress Ike Jacket. This is named to William A. "Billy" Lowell, who was the Adjutant of the Bomb Group. The jacket includes 34 pages of research which includes several newspaper articles about Lowell, a death index card, a photo, and many pages of the unit history. The jacket is a very nice early British Battle Dress. All buttons are present, the buckle is marked but illegible, and the jacket is very nice and clean with the exception of one hole in the back. The jacket has a early large twill light colored variant of the AAC Headquarters patch on the left shoulder and it has a leather name tap on the wearer's right breast that has Lowell's name in English and Arabic. Inside, the jacket is marked O W.A.L. 41 and is neatly named to W. A. Lowell - Lt. Colonel, A.C. There are no other markings that i can find and there is no manufacturer marking. This is an early beauty!
