USA #CVP85 - 1x Mint 20¢ Single (barcode design) + 33x VOID versions

Description: USA (ATM / CVP) stamp, catalog # CVP85 (barcode design) This lot includes:1x #CVP85 stamp purchased on January 1, 2013. The 20¢ stamp shown in the upper left hand side of the scan was the additional ounce rate at the time from what I remember.33x "VOID / THIS BLOCK IS NOT VALID POSTAGE" versions of the same stamp design. This represents a change from the 1st version of the "NOT VALID..." stamps, as they added the word VOID in reverse [white on a black block] compared the 2012 versions.Note: These barcode-design stamps could be purchased from a single stamp up to a block of 6 stamps. Because these stamps are in a 2-column format, if purchasing an "odd" quantity (1, 3, or 5), then the machine printed a VOID imprint on the unused stamp in order to deter it being used as postage. I had bought and used a lot of these as single strips (1x barcode stamp + 1 VOID stamp), and as such, I've kept the VOID stamps. There is one intact strip with 1x barcode stamp + 1x VOID (see upper left side of the scan) and 32x additional VOID stamps (for a total of 33x VOID stamps). Note: The print intensity on the VOID stamps varies, as they came from different machines at different times, as well as that different machines may have had different thermal printer settings. This is normal for any thermally "printed" stamps, regardless of how well they are stored. The black bar on the right (that is supposed to cover the fluorescent facing stripe and to prevent using the VOID stamps as postage) varies, as the labels weren't always properly centered in the machine... Interesting lot for those that collect these type of items. Note: Only tracked 1st class shipping within the USA, but I will also use lots of ATM/APC/CVP stamps as part of the postage!
