Provide lots of organic matters and turn the soil at least 4" deep.- Sow the seeds directly into your garden plot, spread each seed variety onto individual/separate 20-30 sqft areas.- If using row method, space rows 4" apart, space seeds 1/4" apart.- Cover the seeds with 1/8" fine soil. Keep the soil moist for about a week and the seeds will germinate quickly. - After 3 weeks after sowing, thin out the crowded spots and enjoy them as baby greens, or sprinkle them onto ramen noodle soup.- Here in Chicago SW burb zone 5B, I sow the seeds from late March to early April for spring crop; from late August to early September for autumn crop. - Protect the greens from frost damage using clear poly or agfabric frost blanket. Note during mid December 2020, I was still enjoying Asian greens in my zone 5B organic veggie garden. Perhaps attributed to global warming :-)- If running into insect troubles, try spray diluted vinegar, or neem oil solution. Grow home garden veggies organically whenever possible.
