Description: You are bidding on a snubber recovered from a crashed car. Please view all the photos for information and warnings. Photos are provided for reference, you will receive parts with the correct part numbers indicated in the photos; photos do not indicate the actual part being sent. This part is no longer available from GM. If your snubber bracket has part 22708437 stamped, then this snubber is the correct part. You are urged to apply a little grease on the bolt threads to avoid the possibility of thread seizure or thread stripping. If available, a spare bolt will be included in case you drop one and can't find it. No attempt to clean the part was made, the part will be shipped in the condition in which it was removed. The snubber part is not hydraulic nor is it spring loaded. Expanding and contracting the snubber by hand can be expected. As long as your snubber is not physically broken, your existing snubber is probably OK and won't need to be changed. See photo. The item you will receive can be elongated and compressed by hand. You should be aware that if your vehicle has a broken engine or transmission mount, you should replace all mounts. When one mount fails or collapses, that places additional load on the remaining mounts. This may extend a mount past its designed tolerance, making that mount fail as well. Example: Suppose the powertrain is held by 3 mounts. Each mount is designed to flex plus/minus 20mm. One mount collapses, causing the powertrain to be 30mm out of position. That causes one or more mounts to carry the failed mount's load and may cause it to overextend or overcontract, thus causing damage to another mount. This also applies to the snubber, which, by its design, is not as robust as a heavy rubber/hydraulic/oil-filled mount. Suppose the snubber is designed to extend/collapse 25mm, and a failed mount now causes the snubber to overextend or overcontract. The snubber is now also damaged. It is your responsibility to verify part numbers. Shipping discount applies if you purchase more than one. To minimize delay and loss, your package is personally delivered to and handed to a post office clerk. USPS rates increased once again on 01-July-2024.
