Description: USS Oklahoma BB-37 USN Pearl Harbor 1941 battleship memorial naval cover with a pictorial postmark from Washington DC dated July 1, 2021. Color photo of the ship printed on cachet #3397 for this 583' Nevada Class WW I, peace-time and WW II battle-wagon by Alvin Eckert USCS #9964. This is one of the few color photos of the ship from the 1930s. Cover franked with a 13 cent Oklahoma State Flag stamp and a 55 cent forever flag stamp. Cover was prepared on a un-gummed, archive quality envelope. Cover with a DIY matte and 5x7 frame, makes a fine gift! USS Oklahoma: this WW I era battleship had an uneventful peace-time service in the Atlantic Fleet before moving to the Pacific in 1936. The Pearl Harbor attack rolled her over next to Ford Island with USS Maryland trapped in between. She was repaired at Pearl Harbor, but was lost being towed to the Mainland US in 1942. See her detailed web pages for design, construction and service history of this ill-fated battleship. Seller has over 90 different covers for the Pearl Harbor 1941 ships, including two others for USS Oklahoma. Check out my other items! These items make fine gifts when mounted on a colored matte and placed in a 5x7 picture frame. Free US Shipping!
