Description: Burma Burmese Mandalay Bronze Seated Buddha with Inlaid Eyes ca. 19-20th century. The Buddha sits in the "Calling the Earth to Witness" position with sensitive gaze , shy smile, flowing robe, on an integral base. Statue bears inscription dating this Buddha to a gift in 1913 to a temple. Measures 17 1/4 inches high X 15 inches wide, areas with verdigris and some surface accretions, areas of unintentional? black lacquer or pigment to area below proper right hand, with scattered casting faults and other minor imperfections as seem in the images. Weighs 20 pounds.
