Description: .Handmade Lampwork beads are made one at a time by heating a cane or rod of glass over a flame torch and then applying the molten glass around a mandrel. The bead is held over the flame while it is worked on and cooled slowly to strengthen the glass. It takes a lot of skill to keep the bead from losing its shape and the adding of other colors in swirls or flowers demands much concentration. This is a work of art. There is a loop at the wide part of the piece approximately 5mm available for stringing. Price is for the individual bead. Bead Artist: Irene Stuart of T.C. Glass Works
