Description: This is a finely molded dog made by a master potter. The clay is primarily yellow ware with redware clay mixed together in what is known as agateware. The result is a very appealing sitting dog figure. The dog measures 6” to the tip of its ears by 2 ¾ Long on the base. You can see the depth of color on the dog which is glazed and compare that with the base that was not glazed. This is one of the finest dog figures I’ve owned and would be prized by an advanced collector. This dog figure is extremely rare, I've never seen another like it.
