It has been produced since 1923 at the Krasny Progress Selmashsyndicate plant (later the S. M. Kirov Diesel Plant) in the city of Bolshoy Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region of the Ukrainian SSR.The tractor was built on the basis of a 12-horsepower (at 400 rpm) two-stroke single-cylinder oil engine of the calorific type.
