As stated on the Dana Holding Corporation website the Victor Manufacturing & Gasket Company was acquired in 1966. Due to an onslaught of asbestos lawsuits and in addition to a slump in the automotive industry, the Dana Corporation (aka Dana Holding Corp.) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2006. In February 2008, the Dana Holding Corp. emerged from bankruptcy after a reorganization plan was approved. Dana Holding had to set aside $240 million in cash and other assets to cover future asbestos and environmental contamination liabilities, as part of that plan. Asbestos ReferenceS: This guide is a listing of oil seal and gaskets for all U.S. Passenger car applications. Each car manufacturer listed has index numbers or codes for the various gasket or seal. The suffixes used on Cylinder Head Gaskets their related sets and Valve Cover Gaskets indicates the type of optional materials available. The following is a breakdown on the definition of the suffixes: C - Copper & Asbestos S - Steel & Asbestos BS - Braided Steel K - Metal Core Composition ...(Corbetos - see note #1 below) TC- Heavy Duty Metal Core Composition......
