The Experimental Graphic Workshop of Havana was founded on July 30, 1962, in the Cathedral Square, in a small space that shared a portal with the Palace of the Count of Lombillo. Its first director was the muralist Orlando Suárez, and from the beginning, it had a clear artistic orientation. Countless generations of artists have passed through this space, and multiple cultural projects have been realized. In its spaces, lithographic stones are still preserved, bearing the imprint of artists from the Cuban avant-garde, as is the case with this piece. El Taller Experimental de Gráfica de La Habana se fundó el 30 de julio de 1962 en la Plaza de la Catedral, en un pequeño local que compartía portal con el Palacio del Conde de Lombillo. Su primer director fue el muralista Orlando Suárez, y desde el inicio tuvo una clara orientación artística. Por ese espacio han transitado innumerables generaciones de artistas y se han concretado múltiples proyectos culturales, en sus espacios aun se conservan piedras litográficas que transcriben la huella de artistas de la vanguardia cubana, es el caso de esta pieza . Esta Litografía contempla una de las imágenes icónicas de la Obra del pintor, Víctor Manuel, figura renovadora del arte moderno en Cuba, y sus rostros femeninos, recurrentes símbolos identitarios de su labor creativa.
