Description: A very beautiful authentic, antique Victorian mourning cape/caplet. It's made of black silk with embroidered beads throughout and a ruffle collar. It's in fair condition. The outside has multiple tears. It can be worn but would have to be done very very carefully.Lining is good, except close to the collar.Please see photos.Does not have a clasp; the Victorians would typically use a brooch to close these.This is over 100 years old so the fabric is very fragile and tears easily.Beautiful either way.This would be perfect for a fashion student and/or collector.
