The card has been in protective storage for more than 100 years and is in outstanding condition without marks, stains, writing ortears. The corners are intact. The card stock has natural agingdiscoloration but the ink colors are true and vivid. I don't know the theme behind this "Desperation" card but I have others in the series in my listings: "Consummation", "Admiration", "Restoration" and, "Dissipation".
