Description: Vilhelm Lauritzen 1894-1984. Christiansborg ring chandelier, brass frame, seven arms with shades in mouth-blown opal glass. Older Model produced by Louis Poulsen The model ‘VL Ring Crown’ manufactured by Louis Poulson originates in a lamp that Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen design for the Danish Broadcasting House in Copenhagen in 1940. The original lamp was never used in this building but soon was introduced to the market. Vilhelm Lauritzen’s ‘VL Ring Crown’ features a round wall fixture on which one arm holds an opaline glass shade. The shade has an elegant shape that opens downwards. The shiny opaline glass combines wonderfully with the brass elements.
