Description: Vintage 11-1/2" SKOOKUM Bully Good Indian Trade Doll, Composition Face Click images to enlarge Description VINTAGE SKOOKUM DOLL Large and striking colorful vintage 1930s-1940s Skookum doll American Indian wrapped in blanket measuring a whopping 11-1/2" tall. Featuring a hand painted molded composition face with side glancing eyes and tinted cheeks, he wears a cotton trade blanket over soft leggings and calico cotton shirt - hair is tucked underneath the trade blanket as shown (this is how he was made). Sporting a glass bead necklace, legs and feet are simple carved wood and moccasins are leather, wrapped and secured around the feet and accented with stylized designs - he is mounted to a thin piece of wood as shown - this is also original to the doll. Condition is very nice with no holes, tears, fading or damage - hair is still thick - composition face has a tiny scuff above one eyebrow - no crazing or chipping - no bug damage or play wear.
