Description: Vintage 14k White Gold Mens 2.25Ct Blue Star Sapphire Ring Sz 9 HEAVY 9.4gr Click images to enlarge Description Offered today is a fine quality, heavy solid 14k white gold vintage men's (or unisex) blue star sapphire cabochon ring, circa 1940s - 1950s. This ring is simplistic in design and really makes a statement on the hand. This cabochon blue star sapphire has not been evaluated by a gemologist--so we honestly do not know if it is a lab-created or genuine earth-mined stone--but it has a very nice star which is morw pronounced under direct light. It is a very nice medium blue color. It measures approximately 8 mm round (about 2.25 ct) and is flush set in the center of a sturdy, heavy, polished white gold mounting. The face measures 3/8" north to south. There are no hallmarks in this ring but it does test positive for solid 14k, guaranteed. It weighs a hefty 9.4 grams and is a size 9. At today's gold prices, this is an investment as well as a great piece of jewelry to wear. It can sized by any competent jeweler, and is in very fine vintage condition.
