Description: This is an old school house hanging light fixture measuring 16" in diameter, most likely from the 1940's. The glass shade is unique in that the top (where the hole is), is rather iridescent and the bottom is more white milk glass. There are no chips or cracks in the glass - great condition. The electrical component appears to have been painted red in the past and the bulb socket is slightly loose and may need tightening, however it works just fine. It can certainly be stripped and redone in chrome or repainted. The chain is a swag type with an inline on/off switch (does not turn off) that perhaps was retrofitted at a later date, but could be re-done to more of a ceiling mount. Currently has a 110 plug, no type of ceiling mount. We do have more than one available, if more than one is needed. Great addition for that farmhouse look. Please contact us prior to purchasing if you have any questions. We will double box to insure safe shipment. The custom-made stronger box cost is about $10 and that is considered the handling cost. Item will be mailed FedEx or USPS Parcel Select Insured.
