Description: Vintage 1926 Dancing Nymph Dishes SE Martele Line Phoenix Consolidated Glass Co. As a kid, I remember my grandmother serving fancy desserts on these "scandalous naked lady dishes". I recently learned that these vintage Dancing Nymphs dishes of the Martelé line were made in 1926 by the Consolidated Glass Company in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, and designed by Kenneth Halev. They are extremely rare as very few were made from this aqua-color Vaseline glass (they glow in the dark under black light due to having uranium in them). Also called "The Dance of the Nudes", this set of dessert dishes includes 6-goblets (5 1/4" tall), 6-small dessert plates (6" diameter), 6-small dessert bowls (4 1/4" diameter) and 1-larger serving salad-size plate (8 1/4" diameter). All are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks (other than the one chip on the serving plate shown in the photo).
