Description: Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Original Vintage 1930s Canco Tin with Lithographic Art Gene and Glenn “Tune in Yesterday Radio Program” Tin is in good used shape. Has been used and handled, but not beat up. Graphics still show OK. 8.5” diameter with litho art, circa 1930s. Image features Gene Carroll and Glenn Rowell in conversation. Lid reads “Hello, Hello, Hello!” and has a facsimile signature that reads “Gene & Glenn”. Tin base has manufactures stamp of Canco. Gene & Glenn (Gene Carroll and Glenn Rowell) starred on "Tune In Yesterday" a comedy show that came out of radio's early days, and was very popular during the Depression. They were heard 15 minutes a day, six days a week on "The Quaker Early Birds Program." The men took a piano-records-chatter-and-situation approach to their time on air. They were on various network and local radio slots until 1943 when Glenn decided to quit show business. Gene later returned to radio in 1947 as a part of the "Fibber McGee and Molly" team.
