Description: This listing is for a pair of 1940s ceramic planters in the shape of a man's head and lady's head. They are unbranded, but almost certainly they were made Japan. Both have the code S1299 printed on the bottom. The man measures about 4" tall, and the lady measures about 4 1/2" tall (her bonnet makes her slightly taller). No chips, cracks, or evidence of unusual wear, but both of these pieces have had some repairs. The man was missing half of his winking eyelash as well as the left half of his tie. The repairs are not seamless, but they turned out pretty good. The woman was also missing half of an eyelash, and she had a chip at the base. The eyelash repair is nearly invisible, but the color match on the base chip repair is not very good. (See close up photo). These repairs were done with Fimo and Skulpy, and the repaired areas are even harder than the original ceramic surrounding them. Hand wash and don't use anything abrasive, and these repairs should last just fine. The price of his set has been discounted due to the repairs. Will be wrapped with care and shipped with GOBS of packing material. I am listing many other items on eBay, including many pieces of vintage and antique vases, planters, and art pottery. Please check my other items, as I will be happy to combine shipping. I do not accept returns. Please examine the photos and description carefully, and ask questions if you are unsure. ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES.
