Vintage 1940s Pendleton Style Wool Plaid Coat W Faux Fur Collar XS SM Women’s

Description: This vintage 1940’s parka style coat reminds me a lot of a Pendleton, yet the tags have been removed. It is 100% wool plaid in brown, rust, ivory, and teal. It was bought in 1948, as the original owner had stated in this letter inside one of the pockets. She has been the sole owner and it was passed on to her daughter who kept it very well in a cedar closet all this time. The note reads, and it is SO SPECIAL: “Purchased at Riner’s Dept. Store Market St. Stueb. (Stuebansville, OH) on Oct. 1948 First shopping trip with mom for a new winter coat. I got to pick the one I wanted. This jacket was it. To me it was sable. “ It certainly is a looker. It has one breast pocket which closes with a chain and loop brass zipper and four very handy side pockets. The zipper is also brass and it has a button flap and button at neck. The faux fur collar is still in remarkably good condition for its age, as well as the rest of the coat. There is a small yellowish stain on one of the pockets. Please see all photos, but it is barely noticeable at all. This coat is a wonderful piece of history and was cherished greatly.
