Huge Steel and porcelain finished industrial atomic design light fixture from circa 1950s. The lights started life out in circa 1950's as sodium ballast operated commercial industrial lights, but has been converted to standard bulb operation. The upper atomic portion is made of a cast metal that had been repainted a silver metallic finish and ceiling canopy and chains added for mounting on standard residential ceiling electrical boxes with ease. The condition of the lights are nice overall for being approximately 70 plus years old. They have scattered chips in the porcelain finish, some slight scratches, and some patina in spots primarily on the steel screws and brackets used for joining the top and bottom pieces of the fixture (Reference photos pictured). The silver paint looks nice, however you can see the imperfections of the old paint under the paint in areas. There is a small hole in one of the lights atomic cap, looks like from an imperfection in the casting process, (pictured), but strictly superficial and very tiny, mentioning for listing accuracy. The wiring and socket are new on both lights along with new mounting cap,chain and mounting hardware. Ready for immediate installation and use, no restorations needed. >>>>Please note that the interior portion of the lights are shiny bright white baked porcelain finish as well but the bulb used during photos cast a speckled darker appearance in the photo. THE LIGHTS ARE HUGE!! Measuring approximately 20" inches circumference/Diameter and approximately 2' feet in height. The lights are not heavy and very manageable even though they are large in size.
