Description: Vintage 1950s bespoke dark blue cashmere overcoat. (size 40 Reg.) Ivy Retro MCM Mad Men Rockabilly Film NoirUp for sale is this well-preserved 1950s cashmere overcoat (40 Reg). It is made of soft luxurious cashmere cloth and should serve well in cold weather. It is cut in a sack style with a three button closure, moderately padded shoulders, side pockets, two interior pockets, and a single rear vent with a button closure. Very well made and perfect for cold weather. This may be vintage, but it is very sturdy and should stand lots of wear. They certainly don't make coats of this quality any more. There is no union label but based on construction, material, and style, the coat dates from the 1950s.Condition: Very Good / Excellent vintage condition. No holes, no moth damage, no stains. A vintage repair inside the right pocket - see photos. One small area of re-stitching in the lining and a couple of loose stitches in the lining near the sides - see photos. Only lightly used. From a smoke-free home.Maker: Unknown. The initials "J P C" are embroidered on the inside pocket.
