Description: VINTAGE 1950s EAMES HERMAN MILLER RAR ROCKING CHAIR IN PARCHMENT WHITE #4145 Click images to enlarge Description Original 1950s (date stamped 18th Feb 1957) Charles and Ray Eames rocking chair in parchment (off white). Vintage fibreglass shell on replacement black powder coated base with solid walnut wood runners (we also have zinc bases and oak/birch runners if you would prefer). The contemporary version of this chair is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age really well. In fair vintage condition. The shockmounts are in good condition. Some minor scuffs and discolouration here and there on the shell and a small cosmetic crack on the front edge. Approximate dimensions: Width: 63.5cm Depth: 61cm Height: 68cm Seat height: 43cm. A mid-century classic. The seat and base will be dismantled for safer shipping but can be bought fully assembled if so desired - please let us know in this case and we will let you have a shipping quote.
