Description: Vintage Opera glasses white Mother of Pearl Lucite Rhinestones. These fabulous eye glasses are made of pearly white lucite that looks like mother of pearl and are rectangular in shape. They are magnified to about a 3 or 3.25 and work as reading glasses. I always kept them in my purse in case I needed to read a menu in a dim restaurant. This folding style of opera glasses was often referred to as a Lorgnette. There is a clear lucite ring on the bottom of the arm so that a chain can be thread through to wear around the neck. These glasses fold into thirds to fit neatly inside the your smallest purse, and fit neatly in the little gold case. Measures open 6 7/8" x 1 1/8" x 5/8"Measures closed 3 " x 1 1/8" x 5/8"These glasses are in good vintage condition with only light wear for age, there is a bit of yellowing and some darkening of some of the rhinestones but they are all there.
