Description: Vintage 1960’s IWC Schaffhausen 814A Automatic Cal.8541B Stainless Date Watch About the watch & condition: Here we have a stunning vintage IWC circa 1960’s. It’s a beautiful looking watch and is powered by an automatic movement. The watch has is running well and keeps good time, gained around 1 minute when tested over 24 hours. It winds fine, the crown itself does wobble very slightly while winding/setting the time but does work fine. Could be improved further with a service however can absolutely be worn as is. It comes just as it is with no box or papers. More details below; The watch has a beautiful champagne dial with the silver & black markers. It’s a really clean example bar a small mark near the 5 o’clock, it’s actually quite hard to notice while wearing and in my opinion doesn’t ruin it at all. The Crystal is equally clean bar a tiny chip near the 2 o’clock marker. The watch has a stainless steel case with the matching crown. It goes well with the dial and is in great condition as shown. There’s some light scratches which you’d expect but nothing major at all. The crown is the original and is working well. The size of the crown makes it harder to use in my opinion as I find it hard to grip, it also very slightly wobbles while using it. The date on this isn’t quickset. It’s sat on a nice black leather strap which will fit a wrist sized 7 1/2 inches or smaller. It goes nicely with the watch and is in great condition with plenty of life left! This watch is an automatic watch which means it runs from the movement of the wrist. The watch can also be manually wound. It does have a power reserve however if it’s left for a period of time it will have likely stopped. This is comes just with the watch, no box or paperwork.
