Allan bendable leg doll markings on tush © 1960 by Mattel, Inc. Hawthorne Calif. U.S.A SPECIAL NOTE: Both Allan bendable leg and straight leg doll have the same mark. Molded into the bottom of each foot is "U.S.A." Allan was Ken's Buddy and he was also Midge's Boyfriend. Allan was discontinued after his second release in 1966. It wasn't until 1990 Mattel finally released a new version of Allan. Mattel did not make an Allan Brand wardrobe, so he shared Ken's wardrobe. This Allan Doll was the second release #1010 Allan Bendable Leg Doll 1965-1966. Allan is the same as the straight leg doll BUT HE HAS NEW BENDABLE LEGS, a red jacket, lighter blue shorts, blue strap cork sandals and Mattel Barbie Fashion Booklet. HE IS MISSING THE WIRE STAND. WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD -- Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs Condition Notes: Allan shows use with age and wear. Allan has BLEMISHES, A FEW TINY NICKS AND/OR SURFACE SCRATCHES. His face has very little paint loss and he has all his fingers and toes. His legs & arms are tightly jointed. Clothes show WEAR. The back of the collar of the red jacket HAS STAINS and shorts HAVE FAINT BLEMISHES/STAINS on one leg opening. These stains really do not detract from displaying Allan. The Cork Sandals ARE REALLY SNUG ON ALLAN'S FEET, I HAD A HARD TIME GETTING THEM ON AND THEY NEVER REALLY SLIDE ALL THE WAY ON!! The original box IS MISSING THE INSERT. BOX SHOWS GENERAL WEAR FROM AGE. IT IS DISCOLORATION/STAINING FROM AGE, PLUS SURFACE SCRATCHES, AND ALL EDGES/CORNERS SHOW WEAR. Overall box in decent shape for age.
