The Coronet is the Epiphone equivalent to Gibson's SG Junior, a somewhat unexploited treasure in the Kalamazoo-made fold. These asymmetrical-bodied Epiphone solids were phased at the end of 1963, bearing a distinctly more Fender-like look to the body and headstock replacing the original symmetrical models. This one dates to 1964, so is an early example of these newly restyled guitars. With the sonic characteristics of the Junior with slightly more Fender-like aesthetics the Coronet is a very comfortable, easy handling and powerful sounding little guitar. This guitar is in great shape for its age with hardware tarnish, finish checking, several indents and marks, and tremolo has been removed and holes are exposed on the top, rated at 8/10. Free of any breaks, cracks or repairs.
