Description: ***********Although the Durowe 7525 (INT) automatic movement keeps accurate time over an approximate 40 hour power reserve period given that it has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended.***********This seldom seen vintage 1970's Gawa diver is an example of a watch that in my humble opinion looks markedly better in person. It has a matte black dial that is in near pristine condition and the original lume on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has a perfectly matching buttermilk hue. The small black line seen on the hour hand lume is actually a piece of loose debris that moves around. While it will undoubtedly be displaced again at the time of this listing it has moved off the hour hand lume and is currently lying on the underbelly of the crystal. The black bezel, which shows wear and rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, presents nicely. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear with insignificant signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "STAINLESS STEEL CASE - ANTIMAGNETIC - WATERPROOF" with "200 M" stamped along the inner edge. The top hat crystal shows scratching and dust/debris on its underbelly.The 25 jewels "DUROMAT" stamped Durowe 7525 (INT) automatic movement with quickset date function keeps accurate time and the date wheel rolls over at 12 am. The quickset date function works flawlessly by pulling the crown out to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an approximate 40 hour power reserve period. Given that this watch is more than 45 years old and considering the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 38.5 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 12.5 mm. Given the vintage nature of this watch and considering the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended.
