Description: US Army Men’s Field Coat Jacket Cold Weather Small 1970s Vietnam Era Description: Up for sale is a vintage 1970’s US Army issue Men’s Field Coat for Cold Weather in a Size Small Short Stock No. 8415-782-2935, and DSA 100-71-C-0181. Produced by John Ownbey & Company, Inc. in drab Olive fabric. The lined Field Coat has front zipper and snap closure with (4) exterior pockets with flaps. In the collar is a zippered compartment with an attached lightweight hood. The shoulders have buttoned epaulets. The sleeve cuffs are adjustable via Velcro fasteners and there is a triangular flap which folds out for extra warmth. At the waistline, there is a drawstring cord to tighten the Field Coat fit. Per Army label, the Field Coat is intended for people with the following measurements: Chest: 33 – 37” Height: 67” (or greater) Dimensions: Height, Shoulder to Hem: 29” Sleeve Length: Shoulder to Cuff: 24" Condition: Used, Good Condition, acquired in 1971 during Basic Training at Fort Knox, and worn occasionally since then, see Photos.
