Description: 1979 Frankoma Pottery - GOP Republican Elephant Political Mug John Frank founder of Frankoma Pottery in Oklahoma first created this 5 oz elephant mug as a fundraiser for the National Republican Women's Club in 1968. It was so successful that the mug was added to the production line the following year, turning it into a collectors series. This is a heavy duty ceramic mug, brown in color and from the year 1979. It is in lovely condition with no breaks, chips, cracks or crazing. Please see all photos for details. Fun Facts: These mugs were produced up until 2005, when the plant officially closed.
